Bio:

Coach Becca McGough, brings a wealth of coaching and recruiting experience to the Sharks Fastpitch Organization. A former standout athlete, she began her softball career in travel ball, where she was voted team captain by her teammates, demonstrating strong leadership from an early age.

She continued her success at Brownsboro High School, earning numerous accolades, including:

  •  Academic All-District (All four years)

  • Honorable Mention All-District (Freshman year)

  • First Team All-District Shortstop (Sophomore year)

  • District Player of the Year (Junior year)

  • All-Henderson County Defensive Player of the Year (Junior year)

  • District Defensive Player of the Year (Senior year)

  • TASO Umpires Scholarship Recipient (Senior year)

  • National Honor Society 

Coach McGough went on to play collegiate softball at Centenary College of Louisiana, where she made an immediate impact. She holds school records for:

  • Assists per game

  • Career assists

  • Triples per game

She was named to the Dean’s List both her freshman and sophomore years before transferring to the University of Texas at Tyler due to health reasons. After medically retiring from playing, she remained involved in the sport and completed her degree, earning a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.

Her coaching career began in 2019, leading travel softball teams before transitioning to a recruiting coordinator role in 2021. That same year, she joined Brownsboro High School as an assistant coach before taking over as head coach in 2023.

In 2024, she helped establish the Sharks Fastpitch Organization, where she continues to develop young athletes and share her passion for the game. Her extensive playing experience, leadership, and commitment to growing the sport make her an invaluable part of the Sharks coaching staff.
