Sharks Fastpitch 12U Closes Season as Fall Finale Finalists

What a weekend for the Sharks Fastpitch – Hodges 12U squad, who battled their way through six hard-fought games to finish as Finalists in the Fall Finale. This group showed undeniable progress, resilience, and fire from the first pitch to the last. 🩵🤍

The Sharks lineup came alive at the plate, stacking up impressive numbers across the weekend:

  • 🔥 33 total hits

  • 💣 3 true inside-the-park home runs

  • 💥 19 RBIs

  • ⚡ 15 stolen bases

Every game showcased their heart, grit, and commitment to growing as athletes and teammates. This tournament marked the final outing of the season, and the improvement this group has shown over the past few months has been remarkable.

The future is incredibly bright for this team, and we’re already excited to watch them take an even bigger leap next season.

Leah White Commits to Oklahoma Wesleyan University

The Sharks Fastpitch family is thrilled to announce that #13 Leah White has officially committed to continue her academic and athletic journey at Oklahoma Wesleyan University! 

Leah has exemplified excellence both on the field and in the classroom. With an impressive 3.85 GPA, she plans to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as she continues her softball career at the next level.

Throughout high school, Leah has earned numerous accolades that showcase her dedication, leadership, and character:

  • Academic All-District

  • Honorable Mention All-District

  • Academic Excellence Award

  • A Honor Roll

  • HOSA State Qualifier

  • National Honor Society Member

Her commitment to hard work has shaped her into the exceptional student-athlete she is today, and now she’s ready to soar with the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles. 🦅

Sharks Fastpitch Goes Purple for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness

This month, the 18U and 12U Sharks Fastpitch teams are taking the field with a purpose far greater than softball. In honor of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness, our athletes are proudly wearing purple jerseys to show support, raise awareness, and stand with families affected by this devastating disease.

For the Sharks, it’s about more than the game — it’s about playing with heart, unity, and purpose. Seeing our players come together for a cause that matters reminds us why this organization is so special.

A huge thank you to Brave Hawk Sports for the quick turnaround and high-quality shirts that helped make this initiative possible. 🩵

12U Sharks Take Home the Championship at Fright Night Fastpitch! 

The 12U Sharks Fastpitch team had an incredible showing this weekend at the Fright Night Fastpitch Tournament in Hallsville, TX—battling through 5 games and bringing home the CHAMPIONSHIP! 💙🥎

This team showed tremendous grit and heart from start to finish, dominating on both sides of the ball.

🔥 Offensive Power

The Sharks’ bats were hot all weekend, finishing with a team batting average of .414, totaling 29 hits and 36 runs scored across five games.

🛡️ Defensive Strength

Defensively, the Sharks locked it down allowing only 17 runs the entire tournament and coming up big when it mattered most.

⭐ Player Highlights

  • Kyndall Brewer: Led the offense with an impressive .600 batting average, 1.267 OPS, and 6 hits on the weekend.

  • Kenslea Kanbel: Delivered power at the plate with 2 doubles.

  • Sophie Crow: Matched the momentum with 2 doubles of her own, giving the Sharks key extra-base hits.

This team competed with confidence and showcased exactly what being a Shark is all about.

12U Sharks Fastpitch - Hodges Reveal Fall 2025 Roster

A brand-new season means a brand-new team for the Sharks Fastpitch Organization, and excitement is already building as the 12U Sharks Fastpitch – Hodges officially announce their Fall 2025 roster! 🦈💙

This team is starting fresh, made up entirely of new athletes ready to make their mark. With energy, determination, and a hunger to compete, the Hodges squad is set to build its own identity and tradition this fall.

Head Coach John Hodges, alongside assistant coaches Josh Harris and Diana Herrington, is leading this group into their first season together. The focus is on growth, teamwork, and laying the foundation for success not only for this year, but for seasons to come.

“We’re thrilled to start from the ground up with this team,” said Coach Hodges. “Every player here is bringing something special, and we’re excited to watch them grow together, compete hard, and represent Sharks Fastpitch with pride.”

For these athletes, the 2025 fall season will be the beginning of their Sharks journey and for the Sharks family, it’s the start of a new chapter filled with energy, excitement, and endless possibility.

10U Sharks Fastpitch Return for Fall 2025 with Fresh Talent and New Leadership

The 12U Sharks Fastpitch are back for the Fall 2025 season, bringing a mix of returning players, exciting new talent, and a fresh leader at the helm. With a strong foundation already in place, this group is ready to build on past experience while embracing new opportunities.

This season marks the debut of Head Coach Jake Mapes, who will guide the team alongside assistant coaches Jeremy Ashley and Mat Robertson. Mapes takes over with a vision of continuing the Sharks’ tradition of hard work and competitiveness, while also helping shape the team’s growth on and off the field.

The Sharks community is ready to rally behind the Mapes squad, with expectations high for a season filled with growth, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.

Future Sharks in the Making: 10U Player Joins 18U Team for a Day

At Sharks Fastpitch, we believe in building more than just great athletes—we're building a family. That commitment was on full display when Grayson, one of our 10U players, had the opportunity to spend the day in the dugout with our 18U team.

​

Throughout the day, Grayson cheered, observed, and soaked up every moment—from the energy in the dugout to the intensity on the field. Experiences like these are powerful reminders that our younger players are always watching. They study every swing, every hustle play, every moment of teamwork and leadership.

​

It’s moments like this that define our culture. As the next generation learns what it means to be a Shark, our older athletes continue to lead by example.

​

To our 18U players: keep setting the standard. You never know how much of an impact your example might have on the future of our program.

Kaitlyn Ramirez Dominates on the Mound, Earns Two Player of the Game Honors

Bullard High School’s Kaitlyn Ramirez (Class of 2028) has been a standout on the field, earning Player of the Game honors twice in back-to-back dominant performances! 

 

🔹 March 28, 2025 – Bullard 15, Center 0
Kaitlyn was unstoppable on the mound, throwing four shutout innings with five strikeouts, completely shutting down the Lady Riders while her team’s offense exploded for 15 runs. A lights-out performance!

 

🔹 March 21, 2025 – Bullard 14, Hudson 1
Coming in for relief, Kaitlyn sealed the victory by throwing two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out three. Her poise and control earned her the Allstate Good Hands Play of the Game!

 

Congratulations, Kaitlyn! Keep bringing the heat! 🔥🥎

Aubree McKinney Hits First Home Run of the Season

Aubree McKinney made a big impact in the team's 18-7 victory over Mabank, crushing her first high school home run of the season—a solo shot over center field!

McKinney had a standout performance at the plate, finishing the game with an impressive .600 batting average in five at-bats. Her offensive contributions included:

  • 1 Single

  • 1 Double

  • 1 Home Run (Solo, CF)

  • 2 RBIs

Emily Hodges Verbally Committed

Emily Hodges Verbally Commits to North Arkansas College

Emily Hodges has officially verbally committed to continue her softball career at North Arkansas College! A talented outfielder, Emily plays for Sharks Fastpitch Aldridge and has been a key player for both her high school and travel ball teams.

Last season, Emily’s hard work and dedication earned her Second Team All-District Outfielder and Academic All-District honors. As she enters her senior year, we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next on the field!

Her official signing day will be coming soon, marking the next step in her softball journey. Congratulations, Emily! The Sharks Fastpitch family is incredibly proud and excited for your future at North Arkansas College.

Summer Nguyen Earns All-Tournament Honors at Rose City High School Classic

Summer Nguyen had an outstanding performance at the Rose City High School Classic, earning a well-deserved spot on the All-Tournament Team!

Over the three-day tournament, Nguyen showcased her skills both at the plate and behind the dish as a catcher. Her impressive stats include:

  • 11 At-Bats

  • .545 Batting Average

  • 5 Singles

  • 1 Double

  • 6 RBIs

  • 3 Runs Scored

  • 1 Stolen Base

  • 1 Runner Caught Stealing

Cheyenne Cowart Commits to
North Arkansas College

Cheyenne Cowart has officially committed to play softball at North Arkansas College! A talented pitcher, Cheyenne has been a key player for both Brownsboro High School and Sharks Fastpitch Aldridge.

Last season, her hard work on the mound earned her Second Team All-District Pitcher honors, showcasing her skill and dedication to the game.

With her senior season ahead, we can’t wait to see what Cheyenne accomplishes before she takes the next step in her softball career. Congratulations, Cheyenne! Your Sharks Fastpitch family is incredibly proud and excited to watch you shine at North Arkansas College!
